Lyon midfielder Maxime Gonalons would welcome interest from Napoli in the January transfer window after summer talks failed to produce a concrete offer, according to the player's agent.
Gonalons was heavily linked with a move away from Ligue 1 during the summer, but despite reported interest from Napoli and Arsenal he ended up staying at Lyon.
With Remi Garde's side struggling in Ligue 1 the French international has refused to rule out leaving in January if the right offer comes along, according to his representative Frederic Guerra.
He told Radio Crc: "I met with [Napoli sporting director] Riccardo Bigon twice over the summer.
"But since then I have had no news about it. I do not know though. Maybe Napoli are still looking for a player with his characteristics in January.
"A transfer can be done, but Napoli have to accept the demands of Lyon and the player."
The 24-year-old has been ever-present for Lyon so far this season, but will miss their next match through suspension after being sent off in last weekend's crushing 5-1 defeat to Montpellier.
