Malaga defender Weligton has admitted that he was "eager to get back on the pitch" after making his return from injury against Real Madrid at the weekend.
The Brazilian had been on the sidelines since suffering a broken collarbone in pre-season, but returned in his side's 2-0 defeat to the capital outfit at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I was so eager to get back on the pitch and feel like a footballer again," Weligton told reporters at a press conference.
"The most important thing for me was to forget my fear of being injured again, and now I'm focused on regaining the rhythm of play to return to 100% match fitness."
Meanwhile, Weligton's fellow defender Jesus Gamez has signed a new contract with Malaga.
