Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that he is still waiting to find out the extent of the injury suffered by Matija Nastasic at the weekend.
The defender was taken off on a stretcher during the club's 1-0 win over Sunderland in Hong Kong on Saturday in a match that saw them lift the Barclays Asia Trophy.
"We will have to wait to find out how serious the injury to Nastasic is," Pellegrini said in a press conference.
"At this moment, we don't know whether he needs an operation or if there is another solution but I have a lot of players that I can rely on. There are enough players who can come in to replace any that are missing."
Nastasic was replaced after 77 minutes by Joleon Lescott at the weekend.
