Manchester City's Vincent Kompany denies that he had a bust-up with former manager Roberto Mancini.

Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany has denied reports that he fell out with former manager Roberto Mancini towards the end of the coach's tenure.

The Belgian was rumoured to have been involved in a bust-up with the Italian, failing to emulate the close relationship he maintains with national team boss Marc Wilmots.

However, Kompany has now insisted that he is focusing on the positives of his time working under Mancini, claiming to have learned from the manager.

"I think out of experience you have different managers and different styles," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"There is not one manager who can say he knows it all. Even the best managers in the world have deficiencies. You learn from every manager.

"I have learned a certain way from Wilmots, I have learned from Mancini and I learned from [former City boss] Mark Hughes. I have concentrated on the positives."

Mancini was sacked by City shortly after the club's defeat to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup final, with Manuel Pellegrini expected to be announced as his successor.
