Roberto Mancini says that David Silva should be fit for Manchester City's match against QPR on Saturday, despite picking up a back injury against Villarreal.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has played down the back injury that David Silva picked up in their Champions League win against Villarreal.

The Spaniard was withdrawn in the second half of their 2-0 triumph, but Mancini thinks that the midfielder should be fit for Saturday's match against Queens Park Rangers.

"I don't think this is serious," the Italian told Sky Sports News. "He took a knock on his back.

"Also we play again in 60 hours against QPR. I think he can recover well."

A win in City's next Champions League game away at Napoli will see them progress to the next stage of the competition.
