John van Zweden: 'Wilfried Bony is likely to sit on the Manchester City bench'

Swansea City director John van Zweden reveals his frustration at the prospect of Wilfried Bony spending time on the bench at Manchester City.

Swansea City director John van Zweden has said that he fears that former striker Wilfried Bony will have to spend time on the Manchester City bench.

The Ivorian striker completed a £30m move from the Welsh club to the Premier League champions recently, but Van Zweden feels that he'll have to play as a back-up frontman to the likes of Sergio Aguero.

"We will miss the goals from Wilfried Bony a lot. The most frustrating thing is that he will sit on the Manchester City bench," said Van Zweden, according to The Mirror.

"For Sergio Aguero remains their main striker. I'd personally love Wilfried to be at the heart of a top club like City."

Bony is currently on duty with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations.
