Fabian Delph 'moves a step closer to Everton move'

Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph meets up with the Everton squad ahead of a £9m move, according to a report.

Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph has reportedly joined up with Everton's training camp in Switzerland as the England international closes in on a move to Goodison Park.

Delph, who has been strongly linked with a move to the Toffees in recent days, was not a part of the City squad that travelled to Asia on Monday for the Premier League Asia Trophy.

According to Sky Sports News, the 29-year-old instead flew to Switzerland to link up with Everton ahead of a £9m switch to the Merseyside giants in this summer's transfer window.

Delph has made 89 appearances for the Citizens since a 2015 switch from Aston Villa.

The Englishman only made 11 Premier League appearances for the club during the 2018-19 campaign, however, after falling out of favour with head coach Pep Guardiola.
