Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has reportedly made a U-turn and is closing in on a move to Manchester City.
The England international was thought to be on the verge of sealing a transfer to the former Premier League champions last weekend.
However, last Saturday the 25-year-old rejected those claims by pledging his commitment to the Midlands outfit, who signed Delph from Leeds United in 2009.
According to the Manchester Evening News, since making that announcement, the midfielder has had another change of heart and will sign for City for £8m after he was allegedly spotted having a medical in Wilmslow on Friday.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini, who scooped the £49m capture of Liverpool star Raheem Sterling on Tuesday, is currently with his players in Australia on a pre-season tour.
