Nedum Onuoha's move to Queens Park Rangers is in doubt after Everton entered the race to sign the Manchester City defender.
The 25-year-old was thought to be close to completing a deal that would see him reunited with former City boss Mark Hughes at Loftus Road.
However, the Toffees have now given Onuoha the option of staying in the North West, according to The People.
The former England Under-21 international spent last season on loan at Sunderland.
