Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is considering a bid for Manchester City striker John Guidetti, according to reports.
The striker previously scored 20 goals in 23 matches on loan at Eredivisie club Feyenoord under Koeman.
The new Saints manager is preparing to reunite with the Swede and make him the third summer signing for the club, according to the Daily Star.
Southampton have already signed Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic this summer as replacements for Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.
Koeman had £57m to do business with from the departing Luke Shaw, Lallana and Lambert.
Guidetti is yet to make a Premier League appearance at Manchester City but played six times while on loan at Stoke City last season.
