Manchester City eye £50m move for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a £50m move for Juventus defender Joao Cancelo.

Cancelo, who joined Juve from Valencia last summer, made 34 appearances for the Old Lady during the 2018-19 campaign, contributing one goal and eight assists in all competitions.

Manchester United have previously been credited with an interest in the Portugal international as they look to replace Ashley Young in this summer's transfer window.

However, according to The Sun, City are prepared to pay £50m to land Cancelo, who would battle Kyle Walker for the right-back spot if he moved to the Emirates Stadium.

Cancelo's arrival could also give Danilo the green light to leave the Premier League champions, with the Brazilian keen to secure regular football after only starting nine league games during the 2018-19 season.
