Manchester City are reportedly set to win the race for the signature of Fluminense starlet Kayky.
The 17-year-old winger has already turned out twice for Brazil's Under-16s national team, but he is yet to pull on the Fluminense jersey for his senior debut.
However, the teenager is believed to have caught the eye of several top clubs in Europe, but it appears that City are poised to secure his services in the near future.
According to Fabrizio Romano, City have fended off interest from several Spanish sides to agree a deal with Fluminense for Kayky, and the initial fee of €10m (£8.8m) could rise to €17m (£14.9m) with add-ons.
Romano states that Kayky is set to link up with City's development squad in 2022, but the club will have to sort out a work permit for the young attacker first and foremost.
While City are expected to land one South American attacker in Kayky, a recent report claimed that they are losing hope of signing Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.
