Report: Everton keen on Jack Rodwell return

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly seeking to bring Jack Rodwell back to the club.

Roberto Martinez has reportedly put plans in place for Jack Rodwell to return to Everton during the summer.

The 23-year-old left Goodison Park for Manchester City in 2012, but injuries have limited the number of appearances he has made.

Martinez was believed to have struck a deal to re-sign the midfielder during the January transfer window, but City's failed attempt to sign Fernando on deadline day blocked the move.

However, the Toffees boss is still keen on the three-time England international and he will make another bid for his services at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.

Rodwell has turned out on eight occasions for City this term.
