Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has stated that the club "definitely" want to progress into the latter stages of the Europa League.
United meet Ajax in Amsterdam on Thursday evening, and Rooney has denied claims that the club will take the match lightly.
"Ajax vs. Manchester United, it's two massive clubs. Who wouldn't want to play in them games? And if you look at the squad, there's a motivation and desire in every training session ... we will definitely be going out to try and win the game," Rooney told reporters.
Rooney has scored 21 goals in 28 appearances for United this season.
