Paul Pogba has admitted that he is "gutted" to miss Manchester United's FA Cup fifth-round tie with Huddersfield Town after withdrawing from the squad with illness.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho had initially confirmed that the Frenchman would have featured at the John Smith's Stadium as he denied rumours of a rift between the pair.
However, the 24-year-old withdrew from the squad just hours before kickoff due to an ailment and expressed his dismay at the turn of events on social media.
"Gutted I won't be at Huddersfield but I need to get better. Come on United," Pogba wrote on Twitter.
Pogba has been replaced by Under-23 midfielder Ethan Hamilton, who earns his first call-up to the United senior squad.
