Louis van Gaal warned by Football Association as to future conduct

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal receives a warning from the FA over his future conduct.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been warned by the Football Association as to his future conduct following comments that he made to the media.

The Dutchman was charged after his side's goalless draw with Cambridge United in the FA Cup last month.

Van Gaal was alleged to have 'implied bias on the part of the match referee and/or brought the game into disrepute'.

The 63-year-old, who was given an extra 24 hours to reply to the FA, denied the charge last week and requested a personal hearing.

"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Wednesday February 18 2015, Louis van Gaal has been warned as to his future conduct after he was found to have breached FA Rules in relation to media comments," read a statement from the FA.

"The Manchester United manager denied that his comments which followed the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Cambridge United on January 23 2015 alleged and/or implied bias on the part of the match referee, and/or brought the game into disrepute."

United are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Swansea City in the Premier League.
