Saturday's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup: Facundo Pellistri, Declan Rice, Paul Pogba

Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Manchester United on Saturday, January 23.

The January transfer window is now open, with Manchester United continuing to be linked with a host of big names.

The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Amad Traore, and could look to bolster their ranks further to build on an encouraging first half of the season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Saturday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Agent: 'Facundo Pellistri set to join La Liga club on loan'

Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri is likely to join a La Liga club on loan for the remainder of the season, according to the Uruguayan's agent Edgardo Lasalvia.

The 19-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils since arriving from Penarol in October but has been involved on eight occasions for the club's Under-23s and Under-21s, scoring three times.

A recent report claimed that United were open to the idea of the summer arrival leaving on loan in order to continue his development away from the club.

Lasalvia, who represents Pellistri, has told Fichajes that the teenager is expected to spend the second half of the 2020-21 campaign in Spain.

The agent did not mention which club are at the head of the queue, but English journalist Jonathan Shrager posted on his official Twitter account on Friday afternoon that Celta Vigo were the favourites.

Pellistri, who has been training with United's first team this season, scored twice and registered four assists in 37 appearances for Penarol before moving to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Paul Pogba 'puts decision about Manchester United future on hold'

Paul Pogba will reportedly hold off until the end of the season before making a decision on his Manchester United future.

The France international's agent Mino Raiola revealed in a bombshell interview last month that his client is looking to leave Old Trafford this year.

A January exit was never likely, though, with United still demanding a huge fee for the World Cup winner and other options limited.

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba's stance has changed slightly in recent weeks after hitting top form for the Red Devils, who lead the way at the top of the Premier League.

Pogba, who has 18 months to run on his existing deal, is said to be happy to wait until the summer before sitting down with United and deciding whether to sign a new deal or force through a move elsewhere.

Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and former club Juventus have previously been tipped to move for the 27-year-old.
