Daley Blind admits that he is 'learning a lot' from new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

Daley Blind has admitted that he is learning "a lot" from new Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

The 26-year-old has become a key part of Mourinho's plans since his appointment earlier this summer, starting in six of United's seven Premier League games so far.

The Dutchman has also earned plaudits for his versatility, having been deployed variously at left-back, centre-half and in midfield and, speaking during a fan Q&A session, he revealed that he is comfortable taking on any role asked of him.

"I feel good in the left-back position. I can adapt quickly between the two positions," he said.

"I think I know what is asked of me either at left-back or in the centre of defence. I will always do my utmost best and work very hard to be safe on the ball and make sure my opponent isn't dangerous.

"I know what the manager wants and likes. His way of thinking about football is great and I have learnt a lot already. Every manager has his own ideas and that is the only difference there is. But I think I am the kind of player who can adapt quickly and I think I am doing that.

Blind has made 66 league appearances for United since joining from Ajax in 2014.
