Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has urged his teammates to find the net in order to improve on their goal tally.
The former Premier League champions currently top the table with rivals Manchester City lurking one point below, but the Red Devils have a goal record of 15 compared to City's 17.
Last season, Sir Alex Ferguson's side relinquished the title to City due to their inferior goal difference and following United's slender 1-0 win over West Ham United last night, Evans believes that topping up their goal record is paramount.
"I was thinking at the time when our goal went in that this was great," the Manchester Evening News quotes Evans as saying. "I felt we could really score some goals here after that.
"I was thinking about our goal difference as well especially after what happened last year. But we all know we didn't play up to our usual standards."
United take on Reading at the Madejski Stadium this weekend.
