Thierry Henry: 'What a way for Anthony Martial to introduce himself'

Thierry Henry praises Anthony Martial after the 19-year-old scored his first Manchester United goal during their 3-1 Premier League victory over Liverpool.

Thierry Henry has praised Anthony Martial's performance during Manchester United's Premier League victory over Liverpool.

The 19-year-old came off the bench to score in the 86th minute, dribbling past Martin Skrtel before shooting into the bottom right corner, as United won 3-1.

"He stayed composed," Henry told Sky Sports News. "I call it 'freezing the keeper' and he puts the ball in. I loved the finish. It's a great finish. What a way to announce yourself."

Martial became the most expensive teenager in British football history when he signed for Manchester United for a fee of £36m on deadline day.
