Ander Herrera: 'Manchester United are lucky to have Radamel Falcao'

Ander Herrera feels that Manchester United are fortunate to have Radamel Falcao at the club this season and feels that the striker will find his form soon enough.

Ander Herrera believes that Manchester United are extremely lucky to have a player of Radamel Falcao's ability at their disposal this season.

The 28-year-old moved to the Red Devils on a season-long loan deal from Monaco on transfer deadline day, but has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League due to injury and has notched just one goal for the club in six appearances.

However, Herrera feels that the Colombia international will hit form in the top flight before long after experiencing his quality first hand while playing against him in La Liga when Athletic Bilbao faced Atletico Madrid.

"The fans love Falcao because he fights for every ball like it is the last ball of his life," Herrera told the club's official website.

"That is one of his best characteristics. We are lucky that Falcao is here and I'm sure he's going to be a very important player and I think the Manchester United fans know that.

"When a player gets injured it's a bad moment for them. I know Falcao well. I knew him in Spain, he was fantastic. Atletico Madrid won the Spanish Cup against Real Madrid and he was the most valuable player in the final and we want to see Falcao as soon as possible on the pitch here."

United will reportedly decide on Falcao's long-term future with the club in April.
