Manchester United's Phil Jones was delighted to open his account for the club after his goal secured a 1-0 win for the Premier League champions at Aston Villa.
The 19-year-old's close-range volley has lifted the Red Devils into second in the table, five points behind leaders Manchester City.
"I've been getting plenty of stick for not scoring so I'm delighted to put the ball in the net," he told ESPN. "I'm still young and learning the game and it doesn't matter if I play in midfield or defence. At the moment I'm just enjoying playing."
United will now turn their attention to their important Champions League match against FC Basel in Switzerland on Wednesday.
