Anders Lindegaard eyes strong finish for Manchester United

Anders Lindegaard urges his Manchester United teammates to finish the season as strongly as possible following a disappointing campaign.

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has urged his teammates to finish the season positively following a disappointing campaign.

The Red Devils began life without David Moyes last weekend as interim manager Ryan Giggs guided the side to a 4-0 win over Norwich City in the Premier League.

Lindegaard believes that maximum points for the champions from their final three fixtures would give them some valuable momentum ahead of next year.

"In these last few games, we can put some markers down and have something to build upon next season," the Dane told the club's official website. "It's a great opportunity to win back more confidence for the team and the fans.

"I think this situation to do it in is almost perfect. We have someone guiding us like Ryan Giggs who everyone on the planet respects for what he has done in his football career."

United are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome Sunderland to Old Trafford.
