Jose Mourinho: 'Manchester United fans understand football'

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho pays tribute to his club's supporters, claiming that they 'understand football'.

Jose Mourinho has once again paid tribute to the Manchester United supporters, claiming that fans of the Red Devils 'understand what the team is trying to achieve'.

Mourinho has expressed his gratitude to the supporters on a number of occasions this season and was once again keen to recognise their commitment ahead of Thursday's Europa League clash with Feyenoord at Old Trafford.

"We let them down a couple of times with a couple of really bad performances, but we never let them down with the commitment, the effort, the enthusiasm, the results are not phenomenal but they understood clearly what the team is trying to achieve," Mourinho told reporters.

Man United currently sit sixth in the Premier League table on 19 points, while they are third in their Europa League group ahead of the clash with Feyenoord.
