Paul Scholes: 'Arsenal are a million miles away from winning Premier League'

Paul Scholes believes that Arsenal are a "million miles away" from winning the Premier League title.

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has claimed that Arsenal are a "million miles" away from winning the Premier League title.

The Gunners have been criticised for their displays against the top teams following the 6-0 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday, and Scholes believes that it is clear how far behind their rivals they have been.

"Typical week for Arsenal, really," Scholes told Sky Sports after the Manchester derby. "They capitulated at Chelsea and it seems to be a similar theme which happens when they play the top teams.

"You feel sorry for Arsenal fans. They get the same thing every year. The hint of a title for a few weeks then they go to Chelsea, City or Liverpool and they just do nothing.

"Fans expect Arsenal to go for a League trophy. They are third or fourth but are a million miles away, in my eyes."

Arsenal are fourth in the table following the draw with Swansea City on Tuesday night.
