Ryan Tunnicliffe has spoken of his wish to be part of Manchester United's pre-season tour this summer.
A number of senior members of the United squad will not be on the flight out to South Africa tomorrow morning because of their recent involvement in the European Championships.
That could open up the door for a number of the club's youngster and 19-year-old Tunnicliffe is hoping that he can take full advantage.
"There are a lot of players away with those that have been at the Euros so there are not many regular first-team players training but it doesn't really matter to me," the midfielder told the club's official website.
"It's my chance to improve and prove I am capable of being there.
"I don't know about the tour. It's not far off but I don't think the squad has been announced yet. Hopefully, I will be going. It will be great experience as I could get more game-time and an opportunity to impress."
Tunnicliffe has yet to make a senior appearance for the Red Devils.
