Manchester United will not rush into a decision over their managerial position, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly not rush into a decision over their managerial position, despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's incredible run since replacing Jose Mourinho as head coach in December.

As it stands, Solskjaer will remain in the position until the end of the campaign, at which point the club will appoint a long-term successor for Mourinho.

However, the former United striker has led the team to eight wins from his eight matches in charge and there have been calls for the Norwegian to be announced as the club's permanent manager.

According to The Mirror, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the club's American owners agree that a decision over Mourinho's successor should be made over the course of a few months.

Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino was strongly linked with the position in the immediate aftermath of Mourinho's departure.

United's latest win arrived at Arsenal on Friday night, with a 3-1 success seeing the Red Devils book their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
