Robin van Persie close to full fitness?

Manchester United's Robin van Persie is reportedly nearing a return to full fitness.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is reportedly on the verge of a return to full fitness.

The Dutch striker has been missing since he injured himself taking a corner in United's 1-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on December 10.

However, the former Arsenal forward is ready to return to the matchday squad in the next 10 days, according to Goal.com.

Van Persie has been working with a fitness specialist in his homeland and is now said to be entering the final stages of his rehabilitation.

The Holland international's return will be a timely boost for David Moyes, who has seen his side slip to three straight defeats since the turn of the year.
