Robin van Persie has claimed that he has found his "perfect match" after joining Manchester United.
Van Persie joined the Red Devils from rivals Arsenal earlier today for a fee of £24m.
The Dutch striker becomes the latest in a long line of big names to leave the Gunners, but revealed that the prospect of joining United was too good to turn down.
"Everyone knows by now that I'm a lover of football. I'm quite principled in that prospect. It's always difficult to find a perfect match but I do feel this is the perfect match for me," said van Persie.
"Manchester United breathe football. If you look at all players at the club, the stadium and the manager, my choice was made based on those things."
Van Persie will join the likes of Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez up front for United, a strike force that manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described as his best since 1999.
