Player Ratings: Queens Park Rangers 0-2 Manchester United

Sports Mole analyses how each individual player performed during Manchester United's 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Manchester United scored two second-half goals to beat Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Marouane Fellaini opened the scoring just before the hour, while James Wilson added a second in stoppage time.

The result has left QPR in the bottom three, while United have moved above Southampton into third.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at how each individual player performed during the clash in London.

QPR

Goal

Rob Green: Twice denied Falcao with excellent saves on what was an impressive afternoon for the stopper. Was also calm and collected from high balls into the box. (7/10)

Defence

Mauricio Isla: Had a golden chance to level late on, but could not fire past David de Gea. Proved a threat in the final third, but was caught in possession on a couple of occasions. (6/10)

Nedum Onuoha: Given the nod ahead of Steven Caulker and certainly did not let anyone down. Had the pace to deal with Angel di Maria. Cannot really be faulted. (6/10)

Richard Dunne: Dealt with Falcao in the first period, but was forced off with an injury at the break. (6/10)

Clint Hill: Played well for a large chunk of the match and made some crucial challenges, but simply could not live with Wilson's pace late on. (6/10)

Midfield

Leroy Fer: Looked the most likely for long spells, but could not make the most of his chances. Was surprisingly replaced 20 minutes from time as QPR searched for a leveller. (6/10)

Joey Barton: Was fortunate not to concede a penalty after hauling Wayne Rooney to the ground. Worked hard, but was guilty of conceding possession too easily in forward areas. (6/10)

Karl Henry: Energetic performance from the experienced midfielder, but he never really made his mark in forward areas. Decent, but no more than that. (6/10)

Eduardo Vargas: Led a three-on-one counter in QPR's favour late on, but choose the wrong option. Saw plenty of the ball, but let his teammates down with delivery from wide areas. (5/10)

Attack

Charlie Austin: Had his side's two best chances, but could not beat an inspired De Gea. Really needs more help from his teammates in the goal-scoring department. (6/10)

Bobby Zamora: Found Marcos Rojo a tough opponent at Loftus Road. Never stopped chasing in the final third, but could not make his mark this time around. (6/10)

Substitutes

Steven Caulker: Replaced Dunne at the interval and slotted nicely into the back four. Was solid for the most part, while he was pushed forward in the latter stages. (6/10)

Adel Taarabt: Entered after 70 minutes, but found it difficult to make an impression. (5/10)

Nico Kranjcar: Given the final 10 minutes and showed some nice touches without really making an impact. (5/10)

MAN UNITED

Goal

David de Gea: Made an excellent save to deny Austin in the first period, before keeping out Isla late on. Such a reliable performer between the sticks for the 20-time English champions. (7/10)

Defence

Marcos Rojo: Had a very strong afternoon on his return to the team from injury. Won the battle against Zamora and was calm and composed in possession of the ball. (7/10)

Jonny Evans: Yet another shaky afternoon for the centre-back, who gave the ball away far too often in the first period. Was replaced by Wilson just before the hour. (5/10)

Phil Jones: Won a couple of important headers in the latter stages, but still did not look entirely convincing. Should be leading from the back at this stage of his career. (6/10)

Midfield

Daley Blind: Started at left wing-back, before finishing the match at left-back. The Dutchman's versatility was vital as United changed formations in the second period. (6/10)

Wayne Rooney: As always, worked hard in the middle of the park, but the England international's passing was extremely wayward. Never offers the same threat in a deeper position. (6/10)

Juan Mata: Set up Falcao with a beautiful pass in the first period, but was forced off at the interval with an injury. (6/10)

Michael Carrick: Classy in possession, but did not play as many forward passes at Loftus Road. Quietly went about his business in the middle of the park. (6/10)

Antonio Valencia: Put in some disappointing crosses in the first period, but set up Fellaini for the equaliser just before the hour. Worked hard, but needs to improve his distribution. (6/10)

Attack

Angel di Maria: Again deployed in a forward area and struggled to influence the match. Looked much more dangerous when United went 4-4-2, which freed the Argentine. (6/10)

Radamel Falcao: Worked ever-so hard on his return to the team. Should have had a hat-trick, but his finishing let him down. Was in the correct place time and time again, though. (6/10)

Substitutes

Marouane Fellaini: Replaced Mata at the break and immediately made his presence known. Opened the scoring with a powerful strike and helped his team defensively late on. (8/10)

James Wilson: United levelled just one minute after the striker was introduced. Gave the QPR defence nightmares late on and got his deserved goal in stoppage time. (8/10)

Ander Herrera: Only given the final 20 seconds or so. (5/10)
