Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag will be able to name a strong side for his team's first friendly of the summer against Rosenborg on Monday evening.

Altay Bayindir, Diogo Dalot, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Luke Shaw will all be absent due to their involvement in Euro 2024.

Meanwhile, Argentina duo Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho will be unavailable, as both players are with their national side preparing for the Copa America final.

Marcus Rashford was controversially left out of the England squad for Euro 2024, and he is set to be involved from the first whistle in Man United's first pre-season game of the summer.

Jadon Sancho has also now allegedly repaired his relationship with Ten Hag, and the attacker was back in training on Friday, but he will not be considered for selection on Monday and could instead make his first appearance for the club for almost a year against Rangers on July 20.

Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jonny Evans and Casemiro are also all in the squad and should feature, but Andre Onana, Victor Lindelof, Amad Diallo and Antony have not made the trip.

Youngsters Habeeb Ogunneye, Harry Amass, Ethan Wheatley and Toby Collyer should also be involved, but Harry Maguire has stayed behind to work on his fitness, having missed out on Euro 2024 due to a muscular problem.

Tyrell Malacia is only in individual training, as he bids to recover from a serious knee injury, while Mason Greenwood is on the verge of leaving the club, so neither will be involved.

Joshua Zirkzee will also not feature despite signing on Sunday, with the Netherlands international having a short break after his involvement in Euro 2024.
