Premier League predictions gameweek 10: STONE vs. Sports Mole
Sports Mole takes on Liverpool-based four-piece band STONE for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 10 of the 2023-24 season.

The Manchester derby headlines gameweek 10 of the Premier League season as Erik ten Hag's side welcome champions Manchester City to Old Trafford in the final match of the weekend.

That heavyweight showdown comes at the end of a Sunday which includes no fewer than five matches, including Liverpool hosting Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Current Premier League leaders Tottenham Hotspur get the gameweek underway when they visit Crystal Palace on Friday night in a match that could see them move temporarily five points clear at the top of the table.

North London rivals Arsenal may have something to say about that when they host Sheffield United in one of four games on Saturday, a day which begins with Chelsea entertaining Brentford.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Liverpool-based four-piece STONE.

STONE press shot

How did you come to support Liverpool and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

I come from a family of Liverpool supporters, I get the passion from my grandad and most of my great memories involve watching the big games at his house. One standout memory is the second leg comeback against Barcelona.

Who have been your favourite five players for your club? (Historically or currently)

In no particular order: 1. Steven Gerrard, 2. John Arne Riise, 3. Trent Alexander-Arnold, 4. Dirk Kuyt, 5. Roberto Firmino

What's going on with the band at the moment?

We have just got back from our record store tour promoting our latest EP Punkadonk 2. It was great to play intimate shows and share the EP with the fans. Before that we were in America recording our debut album which was exciting, we can't wait to get it out there.
