Manchester United's Under-21 side recorded a 6-1 victory over their Leicester City counterparts in Leigh this evening.
Nick Powell was the home side's key player, with the attacking midfielder scoring in either half of the rout.
The 21-year-old, who has come off the bench in the senior side's last two games, opened the scoring in the 11th minute when he headed in Sean Goss's corner.
James Weir then scored either side of a Devonte Redmond double, before Powell claimed his second goal of the encounter with 64 minutes on the clock.
Timothy Fosu-Mensah picked out the former Crewe Alexandra player, who sent a diving header beyond the reach of Leicester goalkeeper Dion Henry.
Harry Panayiotou then pulled a goal back for the young Foxes, yet the final say on proceedings went to United as substitute Marcus Rashford fired in his first goal at Under-21 level.
