Jose Mourinho 'will not be forced out by Manchester United players'

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly has no concerns over player power forcing him out of the club despite his recent treatment of Luke Shaw and Paul Pogba.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reportedly has no concerns over player power at the club following speculation that he has fallen out with a number of his side.

Mourinho's repeated public criticism of Luke Shaw is understood to have gone down badly amongst the players, while reports have also claimed that the manager is barely on speaking terms with out-of-favour midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Daily Mail reports that Mourinho is confident that any dissenters will be forced out of the club before he is, though, due to the strength of his relationship with the board.

The former Chelsea boss recently signed a new contract which will keep him at Old Trafford until 2020, enabling him to take a tougher stance with his players.

Mourinho is reportedly planning a significant overhaul of his squad this summer in an attempt to close the gap to local rivals Manchester City, who currently sit 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
