Arsenal have been told by Dalian Yifang that wantaway winger Yannick Carrasco will not be sold this summer.
The Gunners have targeted the Belgium international in their search for a new wide player.
Carrasco has spent just 18 months in the Far East but has admitted that he is keen on a return back to Europe.
Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also believed to have showed an interest, but the 25-year-old's agent has suggested that he will be staying put at Dalian.
Christophe Henrotay told Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws: "Carrasco has been saying for a long time that he wants to return to Europe.
"There are clubs that would like to sign him. One club submitted a formal offer. Other clubs, such as Arsenal, also wanted to do that, but Dalian said he was not for sale."
Carrasco has scored 14 times in 35 league appearances for Dalian over the past two seasons.
