Barcelona and Manchester United drop their interest in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to a report.

Barcelona and Manchester United have reportedly dropped their interest in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, leaving Inter Milan and AC Milan to battle for the Serbia international.

Milinkovic-Savic scored 14 times in all competitions for Lazio last season, leading to suggestions that Barca and United were both interested in signing the central midfielder.

The 24-year-old struggled to make his mark for Serbia at the 2018 World Cup, though, and has managed just three Serie A goals during the 2018-19 campaign.

According to Goal.com, Barca and United are no longer in the hunt for Milinkovic-Savic, but Inter and AC Milan both want to sign him in this summer's transfer window.

The powerful midfielder has a contract with his Italian club until the summer of 2023.
