Chelsea are reportedly having second thoughts regarding an approach for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey due to the form of their current squad.

Chelsea have reportedly started to reconsider their plans to make an approach for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Wales international has enjoyed a 10-year period at the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners have opted against offering the playmaker a new contract before his current deal expires in the summer.

That will result in Ramsey attracting interest from all over Europe, and the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan have already been strongly linked with the 27-year-old.

Chelsea have also been monitoring the situation, but according to the Daily Star, the Blues may withdraw themselves from the running for the soon-to-be free agent.

The West Londoners are well stocked for central midfielders, and with Maurizio Sarri's team yet to lose since the start of the new Premier League campaign, there are question marks over whether the signing of Ramsey would be beneficial.
