Manchester City and Manchester United are ready to compete for the signing of PSV Eindhoven youngster Zakaria Bakkali, according to a report.
The Mirror claims that both clubs are sizing up offers for the 17-year-old Belgian, who has played just eight games for the Dutch giants.
Bakkali, hailed as the next Eden Hazard, cannot sign a professional contract with the club because of regulations in the Netherlands regarding young players.
It has been reported that although PSV are trying to negotiate a three-year deal for the winger, there is "optimism" at both Manchester clubs that he can be lured to the Premier League.
Bakkali earned his first Under-21 cap for Belgium in 2012.
