Barcelona ace Philippe Coutinho will reportedly reject any interest from Manchester United out of respect to former club Liverpool.
United are one of a handful of sides rumoured to be in the running to sign the Brazil international, who looks likely to be on his way out of Camp Nou after just one full season there.
Coutinho has struggled to adapt at Barcelona, and his recent inconsistent displays are believed to have left his future in further doubt.
Spanish outlet Sport claims that Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are the frontrunners to land the 26-year-old, but United also hold an interest.
However, having spent five years at Liverpool before making his big-money switch to Barcelona in January 2018, the same report indicates that Coutinho does not want to further stain his image by joining the club's bitter rivals.
A return to Liverpool is also 'not plausible' because of the circumstances of his exit last year when forcing a move to Barcelona.
