Barcelona's proposed move for Manchester City's Ferran Torres could reportedly depend on Ousmane Dembele's future.

Barcelona's proposed move for Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres could reportedly depend on whether Ousmane Dembele leaves Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants have allegedly identified Torres as their leading transfer target heading into the winter window, although they might have to wait until the end of the season to land the Spain international.

Barcelona's financial problems mean that they will have to move players on before making any additions, though, and according to Sport, Dembele's exit would help the club to sign Torres.

Dembele has still not signed a new contract at Camp Nou, meaning that as it stands, the France international will be able to hold talks with foreign clubs over a free transfer next month.

The 24-year-old, who has only made six appearances this season due to injury, has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and Newcastle United.

Barcelona are allegedly reluctant to meet the World Cup winner's current wage demands, which could lead to the former Borussia Dortmund attacker leaving Camp Nou on a free.
