Owen Hargreaves has suggested that Liverpool should press ahead with their alleged plans to sign RB Leizpig forward Timo Werner.
Ever since the turn of the year, the 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield at the end of the campaign.
The Germany international further enhanced his stock on Sunday afternoon as he netted a hat-trick during a 5-0 victory over Mainz 05.
While admitting that Manchester United or Chelsea could win the race for his signature, Hargreaves feels that Werner would be "perfect" for Liverpool.
Speaking to BT Sport, Hargreaves said: "Everywhere, I could see him everywhere. I mean, under Jurgen Klopp he would be perfect there, especially with his hard working.
"But I could see him at Manchester United, I think they could do with a number nine and his ability to score goals - with [Romelu] Lukaku leaving [last season] - could be a big plus. I think he could fit into that young dynamic Chelsea team. Whoever gets him is going to be lucky."
Werner has contributed 28 goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga and Champions League this season.
