Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry over the availability of Reims striker Hugo Ekitike ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The 19-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Newcastle United in January, but a deal to join the Magpies failed to materialise and the Frenchman has since been linked with a host of other Premier League clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham United.
Man United have also been credited with an interest in Ekitike, and ESPN reports that the Red Devils have identified the teenager as a potential target this summer.
The report adds that Ekitike could be available for a little as £13m, but United are set to face stern competition from their Premier League rivals as well as German giants Bayern Munich for the player's signature.
United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick has previously stated that he expects at least "two or three new strikers" to move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with incoming head coach Erik ten Hag set to have the final say on who arrives at the club in the coming months.
Ekitike has been sidelined since February with a hamstring injury, but the France Under-20 international has managed to score nine goals in 21 Ligue 1 appearances for Reims this season.
