Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Kim Min-jae from Napoli next summer.
Although the Red Devils can call upon the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, United boss Erik ten Hag is still keen to strengthen his defence.
According to The Sun, United are preparing to make a bid for Kim in the summer after being impressed with his performances at Napoli.
Kim joined the Italian club in the summer transfer window, and he has already established himself as a pivotal figure in Luciano Spalletti's side after starting 20 of the club's 21 competitive matches this season.
The centre-back has helped Napoli move eight points clear at the top of the Serie A table, and he also started three of South Korea's four games at the 2022 World Cup as they made their way to the last 16.
United could face competition for Kim, with the likes of Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion all interested in the defender, who supposedly has a £38m release clause in his contract.
