Manchester United reportedly plan to watch Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic up close this weekend as they continue to weigh up a January bid.
The £50m-rated Serbian centre-back, who is also capable to filling in at right-back, is believed to be one of a number of defensive targets being eyed by Jose Mourinho.
United are keen to strengthen at the back at the earliest possible opportunity, having missed out on a new recruit in that position during the summer window.
According to the Daily Mail, Milenkovic may be the man the Red Devils turn to as scouts have been sent to Italy to watch the 21-year-old in action against Bologna on Sunday.
Mourinho has already run the rule over Milenkovic this season, having been spotted in attendance at Serbia's meeting with Montenegro in October.
