Manchester United will target another striker in this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly bring another striker to the club this summer, having failed to secure a long-term option before the end of the January transfer window.

The Red Devils announced on deadline day that they had completed a move for Shanghai Shenhua's Odion Ighalo, who will spend the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Old Trafford.

The Nigeria international is being widely tipped to spend just six months at the club, though, before the 20-time English champions attempt to sign a younger forward at the end of the season.

According to the Evening Standard, failing to secure a deal for Erling Braut Haaland last month will see them move for 'alternative striker options' in this summer's transfer window.

Marcus Rashford's back injury had left Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as United's only first-team options at centre-forward before a deal for Ighalo was agreed.

Alexis Sanchez is due to return to Old Trafford this summer following the completion of his loan spell at Inter Milan, although the English giants have still not officially replaced Romelu Lukaku.
