Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly joined Premier League rivals Liverpool in the race to sign Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij this summer.
The Reds were linked with a move for the 26-year-old last summer after their approach for Virgil van Dijk broke down, although they have since brought Van Dijk to the club during the January transfer window.
Nonetheless, Jurgen Klopp is still keen to bolster his defensive options further and reportedly sees De Vrij as not only an ideal target, but also a bargain.
De Vrij's current contract expires at the end of this season and, while the Dutch international is expected to sign an extension in the coming weeks, that new deal will reportedly contain a £20m release clause.
Italian outlet Il Messaggero reports that United and Chelsea also consider that a good price in the current market, though, and are likely to provide competition for Liverpool when the window reopens.
De Vrij has made 27 appearances for Lazio across all competitions this season, scoring three goals.
