Manchester United allegedly want to bring Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi to Old Trafford in 2025.

Manchester United will reportedly be in the mix to sign Marc Guehi next year, with Crystal Palace expected to find it incredibly difficult to keep the centre-back beyond the end of the current season.

Newcastle United tracked Guehi throughout the summer and made multiple offers for his services, but the Magpies were ultimately unsuccessful in their attempts to sign him.

There are thought to have been at least four separate bids for Guehi, with the biggest believed to be in the region of £60m plus £5m in add-ons, but it was not enough to convince Palace to sell.

Guehi is in the final two years of his contract at Selhurst Park, though, and it is believed that he is not planning to sign a fresh deal with the Eagles, as he bids to make the next step in his career.

Newcastle are expected to reignite their interest in 2025, while a recent report claimed that Liverpool are also firmly in the race, with the Reds looking to bring in a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

According to Football Insider, Man United are also closely monitoring the situation, with the Red Devils expected to sign another centre-back next year.

The Red Devils brought in both Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt during the recent transfer window, but there is a strong chance that both Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will leave in 2025, while Jonny Evans is unlikely to sign another contract.

As a result, another centre-back is set to be a priority for the 20-time English champions, and Guehi has developed into one of the leading defenders in the Premier League.

The ex-Chelsea youngster benefitted from an injury to Maguire to be a starter for England at Euro 2024, while he has made 118 appearances for Palace, including 103 outings in the Premier League.

How much will Guehi cost next year?

Palace are believed to have valued Guehi at £75m over the summer, but they would not be in such a strong position next year if a new contract with the defender is not agreed.

Indeed, the centre-back will have just 12 months left to run on his current deal at the end of the season, and according to Football Insider, Palace could, be forced to accept an offer of between £40m and £50m.

Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in Guehi, with the Premier League champions said to be carefully monitoring his contract situation.

"We'd like to keep hold of him. There's a price and a situation where we might consider it," Palace co-owner and chairman Steve Parish told BBC Sport over the summer. "Somebody [in another interview] said he's a superstar, so somebody has got to pay superstar money."

Guehi has been in strong form for Palace this season, making seven appearances in all competitions, helping the Eagles to keep a clean sheet in their league fixture with Man United last weekend.
