Paul Pogba is still open to penning a new contract at Manchester United, according to a report.

Paul Pogba is reportedly still open to penning a new contract at Manchester United amid suggestions that the midfielder has already decided to leave Old Trafford next summer.

The France international's current deal with the Red Devils is due to expire in June 2022, and a number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, are allegedly preparing to compete for his signature on a free transfer at the end of the current season.

Various reports have claimed that the 28-year-old is refusing to sign an extension with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, having already decided to seek pastures new.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the World Cup winner remains open to discussing a new contract with the 20-time English champions.

The report claims that Man United rejected Pogba's contract plea in the summer of 2019, when the midfielder made it clear to the club that he was keen to sign a new deal.

The Frenchman allegedly 'never wanted to become a free agent' and is concerned by how he is being portrayed amid the speculation surrounding his future.

Pogba will sit out Saturday's Manchester derby with Manchester City through suspension, having been sent off in the 5-0 loss to Liverpool towards the end of October.
