Borussia Dortmund could decide against re-signing Jadon Sancho from Manchester United due to his poor timekeeping, according to a report.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly leaning away from a return for Jadon Sancho, with the club having major concerns over his ongoing timekeeping problems.

The 23-year-old starred for BVB between 2017 and 2021, representing the German side on 137 occasions in all competitions, scoring 50 goals and registering 64 assists in the process.

Sancho has found it difficult to make his mark for Manchester United, though, managing just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances during an underwhelming two-year spell.

The England international is currently not involved with the first team at Old Trafford due to his high-profile falling-out with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.

The issue stemmed from the social media post that Sancho put up after Ten Hag accused him of not training well enough earlier this month.

Ten Hag, in response to a direct question about the attacker following the clash with Arsenal before the September international break, said that Sancho was missing at the Emirates Stadium due to his lacklustre performances at the Carrington training complex.

The former Manchester City youngster posted a message on social media firmly denying the suggestions, and having seemingly refused to apologise, he has been banished from the first-team set-up.

Man United are said to be confident that they have not broken any rules when it comes to their removal of him from the first-team environment.

Sancho's only route back into the first team is said to be an apology to Ten Hag, but it appears that the player is refusing to back down, which could lead to a January exit.

Roma and Barcelona are both being linked with the forward, while it has been claimed that Dortmund are considering a move for their former player in January.

However, according to Bild, the German outfit have huge concerns over his timekeeping, with Sancho believed to have been late for training on a number of occasions during his time at the club.

Timekeeping is also thought to have been an issue at Old Trafford, with suggestions that he has often been late for training during his time in Manchester.

A loan exit at the start of 2024 is seemingly the most likely outcome at this moment in time, with Man United thought to want in excess of £50m to sell a player who has another three years left to run on his deal, with the option of a further 12 months.
