Manchester United are confident that they have not broken any rules when it comes to their treatment of Jadon Sancho, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly confident that they have not broken any rules when it comes to their treatment of Jadon Sancho.

The 23-year-old is not currently in the first-team picture at Old Trafford, and he has allegedly been banished from all first-team facilities, including the changing room and canteen.

Sancho publicly went against Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag earlier this month when the Dutchman said that the attacker had been left out against Arsenal due to some poor performances in training.

The forward will allegedly not be re-introduced into the first-team set-up unless he issues an apology to Ten Hag.

However, Sancho is believed to be refusing to back down, meaning that he is likely to leave Old Trafford in January unless the two individuals can repair their strained relationship.

According to The Mirror, Man United are confident that their treatment of the forward has not broken any FIFA rules, so their position remains that he will not be brought back in without an apology.

The 20-time English champions are under an obligation to provide a 'sufficient' standard of training and physical fitness, and the club are confident that no rules have been broken despite the fact that Sancho is training alone.

The forward allegedly has dedicated fitness coaches to work with him, with the threshold being met in the club's eyes despite his removal from the first-team environment.

The Professional Footballers' Association, according to The Times, have allegedly been in contact with both the club and the player to offer their services.

However, the report claims that no resolution has been reached, with Ten Hag not prepared to alter his position, having been left angered by Sancho's post on social media after the Arsenal clash.

Sancho has deactivated his Instagram account, but he remains on 'X', formerly known as Twitter, with his last post coming in November 2021 after scoring for Man United in the Champions League.

The former Manchester City youngster is again set to absent against Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend, which will be the fifth straight match he has missed.

Roma are believed to be eyeing a move for the forward during the January transfer window, while Barcelona have also been credited with an interest.

Sancho made the move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, and he has represented the Red Devils on 82 occasions, scoring 12 goals and registering six assists in the process.
